It's reported that the export quotes of the US container
HMS
80:20 (1&2) to Taiwan have remained flat at US$338~US$340/ton CFR, keeping unchanged for consecutive three weeks.
Meanwhile, the actual transaction prices have also remained stable at US$33~US$338/ton CFR.
It
's learned that the US scrap suppliers offered quotes of US$335/ton CFR due to depreciated Taiwanese dollars against the US dollar.
However, as rebar prices slumped in the Taiwanese market, the US scrap offers seem unfavorable to the Taiwanese buyers.
